The heartwrenching account of the ordeal suffered by the Mombasa-based blogger, Bruce John, bespeaks everything that is wrong with the leadership of our country. No humanity, no conscience, no regard or respect for the sanctity of human life, rights, and liberty. This display of impunity and criminality in leadership is indefensible, and perpetrators must be held to account.
We call on the @DCI_Kenya to immediately bring the individuals behind these heinous acts to book and demand that the @ODPP_KE institute charges against such criminal conduct. Kenya is a country governed by the rule of law, and nobody is above it, especially not any state officer that might be involved.
We demand #JusticeforBruce
Kwani hamjakasirika??!!!
Everything has to come to a stand still now!!!! 😡
They have detained Morara and are actively denying access to him…
A man was sodomized under the instruction of a whole governor who is still in office…
They’re forcing citizens to migrate to useless SHA…
They’re selling our Airport and pipeline like private property…
They want to extend the elective terms to 7 years…
They’re putting unwarranted barriers on our agriculture…
Our children were burnt in school, some of them disappeared and no one has been brought to account…
They have enforced an oppressive funding model for our university students…
They have sold our minerals and resources and hiding them under wildlife conservancy…
The police keep abducting us and brutalizing us in broad daylight…
They shot at us and killed us when we stood up for our rights….
And this is just but the tip of the iceberg.
Kwani hamchoki??!
How long are we going to continue living like this!?!!
No, our existence has been so indignified we can’t call this living.
The streets are calling

A young man was critical of a Kenyan governor online.
Bruce John Chawa was abducted, tortured, sodomized, and video of his gang rape shared on social media. Sexually assaulted and humiliated for criticizing the governor of Mombasa.
What savage society is this?
Hello @amanpour are you and @CNN@cnni@CNNAfrica@UN@UNHumanRights aware of this? That the Kenyan government is now using sexual violence as a weapon against dissent?
The president was just on your' platforms just a few days ago so I thought you'd want to know #JusticeForBruce
#justiceforbruce The governor should be investigated and arrested. If it is not done then I am ready to suspend all activities for nationwide demonstration

Meanwhile, the proposal that came from the Kenya Roads Board vouching for this increase makes for one interesting read.
