Hi everyone! We discovered that this entry by "黄泉裂煉音" that placed no.3 in Dripfest 2025 was created by generative AI.

If you listen to this entry, you'll find an awful lot of artifacting indicative of AI-generated audio (a smeary, ghost-like quality throughout) especially in sections with less complex instrumentation, particularly those with exposed piano and strings.

This is indicative of sound being generated by AI.

There were supposed to be extra precautions this year due to the immense amount of AI submissions from Dripfest 2024 that garnered a lot of votes before finally being taken down (after a lot of us campaigned to have it taken down) and it's incredibly frustrating to see something created almost top to bottom with AI outright place Top 3 in a competition that is supposed to be about promoting original fanwork.

Moving forward, I will not be participating in Dripfest or any Hoyo contests until there are real measures being taken to scrutinize and filter out AI submissions.
I will be sending the ZZZ team an email about how this entry is AI and how the team needs to be more vigilant with contests like these! I encourage those that are willing to do the same!

As someone who was incredibly excited about ZZZ since its first trailers, who has played Genshin/HSR since launch and adored its music and has spent hours and hours on participating and making fanmusic for almost three years, it is incredibly heartbreaking to watch something generated with AI slip through and place, stepping over the many original and real artists that resonate with these stories and create really amazing things.

These contests are an opportunity for talent to unite, create and share under the banner of characters and stories that they love, to express and prove their art in the way that they are able to.

It's heartbreaking to see something that was created from AI—recklessly stolen and mangled together—be endorsed and given a platform by a franchise built from its community.
