@EllieMaeWest666@OmarAlghabra@AnnieKoutrakis@MarcGarneau@csa_asc@Astro_DavidS I don’t get why Cdns still use Avro from the 50s. Successive govts of all stripes have made many good decisions wrt S&T investments like the Canadarm. We need access to space and it’s time we stopped paying $ to foreign govts or Musk. May the space force be with Canadians!
@bftwni@CTVNews@villagebrewery Agree! Tough to lose a close friend for over 45 years, since public school. No doubt Jim's already back on the job forming the Afterlife Brewery! Cheers to Calgary xo
@amandab1877 @globeandmail I see it differently. Commodities/ag only 10% of our economy, still amongst strongest in G7--all investing big $ in clean energy. Canada must stay at forefront. And our social spending remains amongst lowest per GDP, incl. US, UK. Real data/facts don't support the fear/rhetoric.
@amandab1877 @globeandmail So you're saying both prov and fed govts are deceiving and destroying this country? Would you say the same for GNL project in Qc, rejected by both govts? I'm informed, not ignorant, and Cdns should read the report before preemptively concluding both/all govts are corrupt.
@amandab1877 @globeandmail What's illegal? Construction of a mine, including an open-pit coal mine, is subject to the Impact Assessment Act to be certified to proceed. Both BC & fed govts rejected it, not just feds, due to significant impacts, including species identified in the Species at Risk Act.
@Jugagnon @HBuzzetti Précision : certains employés au fédéral ont travaillé au bureau durant toute la pandémie - un minoritaire largement ignoré par les syndicats pour défendre leur droits, besoins et intérêts comparé à l'heure actuelle.
@stefen_robinson@AndrewBorody@TaraSlone I stand so corrected. Since it was "on the 3rd" not "on the eve", it really wasn't necessary for les Canadiens org to make a public apology nor Price himself for his untimely insensitive pro-gun statement. You should request a similar clarification from most editorialists.
@AndrewBorody@TaraSlone Apparently he's also a pro-gun advocate who's using his influence off the ice. If it's not his "job" to do PR, then he should stick with hockey where his timing was impeccable and give up his amateur gun advocacy role where his timing royally sucks.
@AndrewBorody@TaraSlone I’ll leave that task to other cheerleaders like you who are quick to defend his actions, having zero knowledge of Qc culture and hockey players’ role and influence in the community. Bonne journée.
@AndrewBorody@TaraSlone C'mon, it's not sthg you mark on our Outlook calendar. He has HUGE influence in Qc, on and off the ice, and this comes with a certain level of responsibility. He understood his influence and exercised it to weigh in on B-21. Poor timing AND poor judgement.
@AndrewBorody@TaraSlone Not in Qc. All gun control measures are seen through the lens of the Polytechnique. It's engrained in Qc culture/history, and for Qc's most famous hockey players (here 15 yrs.) to post a pro-gun rights tweet on eve of Dec. 6 and claim ignorance shows a complete disconnect.
@WaylonJ226@PierrePoilievre So overriding minority rights enshrined in the Charter (Qc/Cdn) is price some Cdns have to pay to generate revenues for the rest of the country including AB. I’ll bet a barrel of crude it’s not your rights being infringed here. We agree on some things but not on this principle.
@WaylonJ226@PierrePoilievre Bill 21 has nothing to do with language rights. Nice try. And you really think the feds will overrule Qc on a project that generated broad opposition, in the name of "national prosperity"? Bonne chance.
