@maggiesxrose Ugh right! I was mad back then. I like them all, skating, hockey, basketball. Just give us good sports romance. It was so popular but they didn’t follow through.
@tiffyt83 It was cute and I liked it fine but it wasn’t a rewatch for me. And it didn’t elicit the same anticipation like off campus where I literally sat through a day of watching it on a binge.
@KimNYC84 Agreed. I liked the new every year after. It was a quick little romance with drama but it didn’t give me the butterflies and that feeling of wanting to know what happens next. I felt the jealousy and all the emotions with off campus.
@nerd_raelin I really think it’s the voice. Because when you read a book it’s sort of in your head but it’s hard when a college guy sounds like an old man or the female sounds 45 when she is supposed to be young. That stuff I struggle with. But each author can have various voice actors.
@nerd_raelin I don’t know. I don’t have time to read and I’m up and cleaning and doing laundry so I tend to do podcasts and audiobooks. It’s better but I have struggled when you have a lot of the same voices. I do feel like voice matters. And some books I did love I didn’t like as much audio.
Louisa Levy on working with intimacy coordinators & Ella Bright via THR
“When we met Ella and fell in love with her, it was really important to me that before we closed any deal or any contract to have a very in-depth conversation with her. As much as I loved her and believed her to be a star, which she now is, I was not about to put her on set if I felt like she wasn’t equipped for it. I talked to her on the phone and walked her through everything that was expected of Hannah this season because I didn’t want there to be any surprises and walked her through what the process of working with an intimacy coordinator is or would be. I told her to reach out to people who she trusts and knows who have done intimacy work and ask them about that experience. I can tell her everything I’ll do from my perspective as a showrunner and as a producer, but I’ve never been in her shoes. I can only tell her that I’ll do everything in my power to make her feel safe. I will never make her do something that she doesn’t feel comfortable with, but I will never know what that’s like. I encouraged her to speak to someone. I don’t know if she did, but the fact that I told her not to close this deal if she felt even a little bit that this wasn’t something she was ready for and excited to do — that was really important to me. Frankly, that was important to me with everyone.”
“I still say it on a regular basis. We will not roll camera if you don’t feel comfortable. You might think you’re comfortable in one day. Then you show up, and we’re ready to roll and you don’t feel comfortable again. I will never make you do something you don’t want to do. I tell the directors that and everyone that we’ve hired has the same ethos. Nobody’s going to force anyone to do something that they don’t want to do. That creates safety, but it also creates a cast that feels good because when they’re filming these scenes, they’re excited to do it, and they’re looking forward to embodying these scenes because they’re collaborators. They’re not just puppets.” https://t.co/dLSsfJlSs4
I co-sign this. Leave these people alone. Half this is PR and their partners were around first season we just didn’t know it was happening. I know way more than I want to. I just enjoy cast interviews.
Everything I know about the off campus cast partners is against my will.
Idk why you guys are so overly invested. Mika ain’t with that man anymore, give the clips a rest. Dissecting Belmont girl is mental illness. And making fan pages for the other two? Weird
@NadiaKNM1@tiffyt83 But aside from that they dredging crap up from long ago. They probably got assigned those seats. Maybe she apologized for her past self or maybe she still doesn’t like her. Either way they allowed to sit next to each other for an hour or two!!!
@NadiaKNM1@tiffyt83 For real, literally was all PR I’m sure. All these artists getting bumps in their songs due to the popularity of the show. Their team talked to his team & agreed it was a good idea. There is a separate tik tok too. Nothin but everyone trying to capture the magic while it lasts.
@payto46663@infinitewrlds I’m sure this was all PR. The artist got a bump in his song and for a big scene so they had Belmont come and do “the dance” Everyone capitalizing on the popularity of the show while they can.
@Je0nC00k08@infinitewrlds They are purposely replicating from the show. He said he did that move because he was trying to play it shy and like G didn’t know how to dance. Obviously here it’s more pronounced. But now the dance has a life of its own apparently.
This is all PR. Every song on that show has pretty much exploded with exposure. I’m sure their teams planned this. Belmont riding the coattails of fame. Everyone capitalizing on off campus popularity to get visibility.
