@AFC_OlaitaN Arsenal act like players can’t be flipped in year if they fail to deliver. See Chelsea and Man City. Any improvement is better than none, we should have cycled through a few wingers by now. Martinelli staying shouts in 2026.
@RMFTBL2023 The word regret always gets reused as an Arsenal fan. Always one player short in windows. If Martinelli goes through £110m net spend after draining fans of cash and record revenues. Funny thing we will still win the league but deserve better.
@RedCarpetViews Tzolis was mentioned by every journalist as being a market opportunity and back up to a Marquee signing. 8/10 as a score suggests a great window when the club has “currently” failed to meet the main objective of improving the attack on paper. 2 out 1 in.
@JamesB_afc Eze issue is his work rate. He hasn’t got the ability to do repeated sprints on the wing like Tzolis, Olise, etc. This stops him from being involved throughout a game. Seems like he’s conserving energy. Talent isn’t in question.
@GunnerMoustafa@Arsyuccie@supremefeysal Regardless of your thoughts on Gyokeres, he scored 21 goals without wingers and full backs constantly looking for him to finish actions. That is how you use a traditional 9. Early crosses, cut backs, fast build up etc. He could have scored a lot more.
@RohanJivanAFC His game does rely on mobility though. Has an insane engine, constantly running off the ball. So that side of his game might take hit when he’s older. Not something to worry about at 24 though.
@DanLFC1_ Arteta bought players that would suit a more transitional system but didn’t make any changes to his system. All those players now look like square pegs in round holes. Are now squad depth. His signing this summer are in line with his system.
@themagic_tophat@livescore Even at grassroots level it’s common practice for agents of players to pitch to clubs first before being formally scouted. Micheli went to watch him personally then pushed the signing. Standard scouting practice.
Arsenal are perfectly entitled to try and sell Gabriel Martinelli.
But after seven years of good service, Martinelli is entitled to expect some transparency from #AFC too.

@curtisshaw9 Gunnerblog put out a post not too long ago saying Martinelli hasn’t been told that he’s being offered to clubs. Communication hasn’t been great, he’s basically being forced out against his wishes.
