It's hard to hold on to every single passing moment you experience, impossible really. Memories will most often end up fading into gray, like in the movie Inside Out, and as we live out our lives, we're forced to live in, or at least deal with the now, with each passing day being almost like the refresh button on your web browser. On and on, life goes on.
People seem to like the word 'yearning' these days, and I think about what kind of person I wanted to be, want to be, will want to become, in all my ages of innocence, adolescence, now young adulthood, and beyond. How confident can we truly be about things before they happen? So we have sayings like, "go with the flow", or even, "you only live once"
are fate and destiny real? am I doing life right? am I living life wrong? am I missing the point?
soul-searcher.
dream-chaser,
romantic cynicism
This great big world, in all of its superficial, self conflicting, contradictory, performative, naive glory.
A society growing ever faster, with things that matter constantly changing and moving at two times speed.
If you don't grab on, you'll be left behind!
and the feeling of feeling young, and lost, and unsure, and alone, is almost a cliche in itself.
A shared experience we may all go through, in each of our own ways.
yet it remains an individual "thing" to inevitably feel out and go through. on your own.
but I guess, if we didn't feel these things maybe we wouldn't be that much different from chimpanzees.
For some reason, I've never really been the best at relating emotionally to people.
hopefully, most definitely not in a psychopathic kind of way, but simply because only that person can feel what they feel exactly, down to the neurons firing around the brain that make you feel things. Maybe this is also why I always found it a little difficult to really open up to most people.
Not necessarily out of fear of being misunderstood, but simply because my feelings are only truly felt by myself.
But I also don't like feeling alone, so I find a sort of paradoxical sense of comfort in thinking to myself that I'm not alone and feeling that I feel like I'm alone.
I don't want to forget that I have my whole life both ahead and behind me.
more so after being back home.
That these moments that seem like everything to me now might be looked back upon like high school.
That life goes on, and that no matter what happens, the sun will still rise every day, and that the oak tree in my backyard that grew to swallow up the stone frog that was once there when I first moved to New Jersey, will still be there long after I'm gone. Probably.
I wanted to do this, and now I'm here. If I didn't do this, would I ever have gone to Texas? A U.S. tour is obviously very very special, and seeing sites both old and new with my brothers, seeing any support at all in places we've never gone to is something not to be taken for granted, and grateful is how we feel when we get to meet new fans, or those who have supported us for some time now.
as 'RIIZE', rising
Uncertain but confident. Scared but brave too. How far can we go? How high can we get? I would like to know, so let's find out together.
Whether it be your own mission, journey, climb, marathon, odyssey.
no matter how close or far you are, whatever it may be, is it wrong or not genuine of me to say I truly wish you all the best?
for your pursuit of []?
fill in your blank.
love, happiness, the powerball, whatever you want.
Sometimes a nice view makes you yearn a little bit more. RIIZE will continue to rise, and we only live once so maybe just yolo it.
Or it's either that, or this is all just a simulation!
