she is NOT making the point she thinks she is making. nudity isnt inherently sexual. these covers present nudity as a raw way to admire the bodies that make the sport possible. that is not how sydney sweeney used nudity in that ad.
They may not be the most famous ones in the constellation of stars in The Odyssey, but Himesh Patel, John Leguizamo, and Samantha Morton's performances are truly noteworthy.
All killer, no filler screentime.
The first quarter of The Odyssey is good and only good. Then Samantha Morton as Circe arrives, and the movie stops assembling itself and starts casting a spell. Everything after that is Nolan operating on a different plane entirely.
Her sequence deserves the reputation it will earn. In a year that has been unusually strong for horror, it stands with anything the genre has produced, and it was achieved almost entirely in camera. Morton plays Circe cold, and the coldness is the point. She is not the film's obstacle so much as its mirror. Odysseus survives on cunning, and Circe is the only figure in the picture who is cunning in the same register, which is why she comes closer to unmaking him than any giant or storm. Watching two strategists read each other across a table of food and disarmed weapons is more frightening than any monster, and Nolan knows it. (full review https://t.co/zTiqn9kIuY) #TheOdyssey

This view from @astro_reid shows the divide between night and day, also known as the terminator, as seen from the Orion capsule.
“inhumane legislation” and it’s a rape shelter exclusive to women so they’re not forced to share it with males. it’s keeping men out of private spaces full of women and girls. it’s keeping men from beating women in sports. it’s keeping men from stealing our hard earned rewards and titles. it’s support for detransitioners who have had our lives and health destroyed after being manipulated and coerced into transition.
im so fucking tired of this wave of “feminism” that thinks its subverting patriarchal values but its still centering itself around men and male approval like please god get a new personality
