the hold religious leaders have over our parents is not something i wish to happen in this current time.
because clearly, if parents stood up against practices, these private universities will stop it. they don’t understand that it’s their money keep the school running.
The second picture was taken from Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria, where I went to uni for 5 years before I dropped out. We were all locked in the chapel after our mandatory church service that Tuesday and, one by one, if you were a boy and your hair was too high, a clipper was used to shave a line on your head. They used the same clipper.
I was getting food with a man. When we were done, he went to the loo & I asked the waitress for the bill. With shock and disbelief, she said “you’re paying???”
I nodded and started transferring but before I finished, he came back & gave her his card.
She said with relief, “Ehnehn, why will you pay?”
All of us burst out laughing. 😂😂

You have to give me money. Money is hard to come by.. so if you give me the money you suffered for … ehen!!! I will know you like / love me.
I bought my mom headphones as a present and as we were testing them I connected them to my phone.
I decided to play “Take five” because I knew it was her favourite as she blasted it around the house every weekend when I was a child.
She paused and looked like she was in shock.

I thought she was joking so I laughed…
then he asked me again “nah seriously how did you know?”
