@SamsonMKasumba I think you know it very well that it’s not the first time such accidents to be happening at that exact location, first it was trinity bus that was hit and many questions were raised but no answer in regards to the solution was mentioned so I think we should look for solutions 🙏
We’re in Durban for the #Comrades Expo — and we brought Uganda with us. 🇺🇬🏔️
In 10 weeks, we're inviting you to run across the equator with the Rwenzori Mountains as your backdrop.
Come find us at the expo. We'll tell you everything!
UGANDA TOURISM
The last 6yrs have been hardest year for me in my tourism life and yes, we have had covid, Ebola but management of information has failed us!
Tourism had also attracted many young educated Ugandans and they were starting to see results, I mentor some so I know and more were coming board.
I don’t know about those that indirectly benefit from tourism who are so many and many of them don’t even know they do by the way.
It’s not about disease outbreaks, it’s just been how information has been handled, if you follow me, you can see the efforts i invest in and yes, many others do!
After 6yrs, this year the few accommodations have gone up to about 70% and within 2 days of announcement, we had moved from 70% to 30% and kept reducing.
Uganda already has very few accommodations but even the few, owners are struggling with loans and all sorts of bills across board.
Nothing has killed the entrepreneurs spirit especially in tourism like information handling by the ministry of health. And it’s more about how information is put out there!
No country succeeds with a dampened spirit of entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs make the economy and everything rotates around how the economy functions.
Me who knows about regional business and also understand our potential as a people and a country sometimes, it’s hard very hard.
Because of 2 planting seasons we casually say, oh we shall get over it. What keeps us backwards are things we can handle better according to me.
If don’t travel, you will never get to see even in our neighborhood how much business those guys do and you know what, they aren’t any better than us!
I interact with them, I can tell they aren’t any better than us. Many tell me, Amos you are operating in a small environment, you can do better elsewhere.
Then you ask yourself, who else will improve Uganda if am not one of them?
RWENZORI MARATHON/ GULU MARATHON ACTIVATION IN NAIROBI KENYA.
At the Nairobi marathon today teamed up with Uganda high commission in Nairobi.
1000s of people passed the stand today
RWENZORI MARATHON 2026
Many runners say RWENZORI MARATHON had the best water stop today at ABSA 7 hills run today.
Our team appreciates excellence everywhere they go, I wasn’t involved by the way, they do their work, I do mine
Uganda
My Kisoro expedition
Uganda is a country you must drive around and fly over to appreciate it more.
After you have done that, you won’t argue with me about its beauty.
18 countries are signed up to run in Kasese this August 😍😍😍
South Africa, Australia, Barbados, Burundi, DRC, Germany, Ireland, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Netherlands, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia and Zimbabwe so far!
Will YOU be there?
Did the thing – slow, easy & controlled-ish ✅
Got a shot on route from the Versus team which did wonders as a painkiller.
Stumbled over a cat’s eye (yes, again!), so finished the race bloodied up, with broken sunglasses. Beer fixed it all!
Two Oceans remains a good time!

Rainy season is ON in Uganda.
Shoes are wet. Roads are lakes. The bed is warm.
But the miles must be eaten anyways.
Champions aren’t made in perfect weather. They’re made when you lace up even when the clouds say “stay in bed.” 🌧🏃🏾♂️
