This is a 6’2 guard bullying his way to the paint, getting position and settling into a one-legged fadeaway to tie the game.
Genuinely one of the greatest scorers alive.
@Domestique___ I wonder if teams have a strong financial incentive to win big races? Or does this money just go to bonuses and whatnot, rather than reinvestment into the team?
It was Route d’Occitanie stage 3. Michael Valgren was pushing the limit on a descent, trying to prove himself before the Tour de France, when in a split second he crashed hard. And it's very hard.
He went off the road down a slope and suffered horrific injuries and basically career-ending injuries: a fractured pelvis, dislocated hip, torn ACL, damaged MCL, and severe meniscus damage.
Many said it is over. And even if he comes back to pro cycling, he won’t be standing at the top anymore.
But he said it is not over and didn’t give up. And worked hard all these years behind the scenes, even stepping down to a development team level.
And after years of hard work, he did it. He is finally a GrandTour stage winner. Chapeau Michael, you are a hero. ❤️
I didn’t think Hartenstein was playable in this series — but if he’s gonna be allowed to maul and grab Wemby like this on every play he should play 48 minutes. This is hilarious.
@SwipaCam I thought the spurs got decent offense that half, and often better shots than the thunder. But the turnovers are killing them. Steph castle’s turnovers in particular look so avoidable.
