@AdamBlumenau Is it possible that the issue is DMs not being machines? I mean, no one tries to argue with the computer when it tells you what the rules are. DMs are sort of expected to be vanguards of the game when they're usually just players in the rotation or who had a cool plot idea.

@4sweettjrose @notkavi On the more charitable side of things, being a Christian can also be socially isolating or even dangerous depending on the time, place, circumstances, etc. And many denominations outright make it sinful to deny your faith even if it would have negative consequences for you.

@AhoyImHarker @CosmonautMarcus I don't think it's a good idea to make mutant hate rational or understandable. Anti-mutant attacks in the comics are usually aimed at people who aren't threatening, like children with a third arm or vestigial wings but no other known special abilities.

@CosmonautMarcus Mutants are not hated because they have superpowers and are a threat. That's a popular excuse anti-mutant bigots use to justify themselves, and their hypocritical reaction to Spider-Man or the Fantastic 4 makes it obvious. It's very realistic bigotry in that way.

@SWCozyCoffee The other thing people don't talk about enough imo is there's nothing that suggests Vader would be pro-Rebellion if he'd lived. Anakin liked dictatorships and "enforcing order" before he turned evil, I don't think his politics change just bc he saved his son's life.

@SWCozyCoffee I think he's tried and convicted for destroying Alderaan. Even though that technically wasn't him, in the real world people forget that and there's a case to be made that as a Sith Lord with access to Palpatine he had a responsibility to act sooner and prevent it.
