JB Bell was a conflict historian & expert on terrorism. Early work on the PLO led him to the IRA, which became his focus. His literary archive is at BC. We have his IRA reference collection. Nearly 800 books, pamphlets, & posters documenting the history and evolution of the IRA.
We were very pleased to place most of Dr. Sacks' annotated library at the NYPL to enhance his literary archive held there. This essay, only 'public' today, explores 'knowing him' through his annotations.
