Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri A. Balakrishnan Ji, who served as the All India President of Vivekananda Kendra.

Balakrishnan Ji devoted more than five decades of his life to the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and to the service of society. As one of the early Jeevanvratis of Vivekananda Kendra, he worked tirelessly across the country. He had a particularly deep association with the Northeast. He played an important role in educational, social and nation-building activities.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Vivekananda Kendra family and his admirers. Om Shanti.

Today at the BJP Mizoram office we discussed how to organize the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026", and as the State Convener, I chaired this meeting.

This public service programme is to be organized to celebrate the birthday of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Pu @narendramodi, and to mark 25 years of his dedicated service to the people. It will be observed for one month from 17th September to 17th October 2026, as a period of outreach to the people and to highlight the various stories of PM Modi's service and dedication to the people and his various works.

The leaders of BJP Mizoram have planned various initiatives for outreach and service to others along with other States of India, such as organizing Free Health Clinics, Blood Donation Camps, visits to Orphanage Homes, visits to Old-age Homes, initiatives in cleanliness drives, visits to beneficiaries of various PM Schemes, organizing various competitions for students, and other public service outreach activities.

The aim of the "Seva Sankalp Abhiyan" (Service Resolution Campaign) does not include political rivalry and political activities, but it is to show how BJP carries out public service without discriminating against anyone and without expecting anything in return. It is to let the Mizo people know in their hearts that BJP is a party that serves others and to show that such is the foundation of BJP, and it is also very much in line with what we Christians teach about loving others as we love ourselves and dedicating ourselves to others.

I express my gratitude to the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Shri. @AmitShah ji, for hearing the concerns of Christian representatives from across India and for referring the FCRA Amendment Bill, 2026 to the Joint Parliamentary Committee. This step shows that the government is open to dialogue and wants to ensure that all voices are considered before any law is finalized. FCRA Regulation Bill 2026 was never intended to target one community or any religion, but to bring transparency and accountability in regulation of foreign funding through FCRA.

It is unfortunate that the Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee is spreading misinformation among the Mizo people by claiming that the FCRA Bill is "anti-Christian." The people of Mizoram have already rejected this kind of divisive politics in previous elections, where they get only 1 MLA seat.

Now, after failing to gain any traction through Jantar Mantar protests, the Congress is once again trying to exploit the issue by misleading the public about the FCRA Bill. This is another failed attempt to create confusion for political gain.

I appeal to every Mizo to see through this double standard and to reject the misleading narrative being pushed by the Mizo Congress and its leaders. We must base our discussions on facts, not fear, and work together to protect both the interests of our faith and the integrity of our institutions.

BJP Mizoram Pradesh successfully conducted its first-ever State Executive Committee Meeting for the 2025–2028 term under the leadership of State President @DrBeichhua , MLA, in the presence of State Prabhari Shri @deveshkumarbjp Ji.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the district delegates and karyakartas who participated from across Mizoram. It was one of the most successful State Executive Meetings ever, with several important organisational and policy agendas presented and deliberated in detail. Honoured to participate in a special discussion at All India Radio, Aizawl, on the remarkable achievements of the BJP led NDA Government under the leadership of Prime Minister @narendramodi ji.

As we reflect on 12 years of transformative governance, India’s progress across infrastructure, welfare, digital innovation, and economic development stands as a testament to visionary leadership and decisive action. The scale of development achieved is so extensive that future governments (after 50 years or so) may find their primary task to be preserving and building upon the foundations laid during this historic era of BJP-led NDA governance. There won’t be any other developmental work left to be taken up, except for maintenance.
