I'm a bit torn on this one. On the one hand, I feel those who can afford it will likely choose quality (live voice actors).

Those who can't afford $2.5k+ to have an audio book made aren't hiring actors anyway. Audiobooks are simply out of reach for them.

No doubt some will just opt for the cheaper route, even if they can find $2.5k+ kicking around. But cheap vs. quality - only time will tell how much their choices affect voice actors.

I kind of see it being like self-publishing to the Amazon execs. They won't lose money…
