Not entirely correct. If a debt is not discharged then you are still liable for the debt. The creditor is now forced to attempt to collect the debt and you still have exemptions you can use to reduce or prevent such debt collection.

If a particular debt is not discharged during a bankruptcy filing, the debtor is still obligated to make payments.

Bankruptcy filings are starting to increase in Las Vegas....January 342 - February 364 - March 456. I am expecting the same if not a bit more for April. With the rise of gas prices, rent and food, I suspect bankruptcies will continue to increase. What are your thoughts?

The Sale's Procedure Order has been signed by the Bankruptcy Judge - the sale is set for December 15, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. The terms are straightforward: a deposit of $2,000.00 and proof that the buyer can close. The initial overbid is $175K increasing by 1K or more until sold!
