Together with Ambassador @AndriyKostinUA and Mayor Grauss, I visited a reception centre for displaced Ukrainians on Ukraine’s Independence Day. We spoke about Ukrainian culture, life in the Netherlands and hopes for the future. 1/2

Yesterday, on Ukraine’s Independence Day, I joined Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Tom Berendsen @ministerBZ on a visit to De Reeuwijkse Poort, which has become a temporary home for more than 500 Ukrainians displaced by Russia’s war of aggression.
It was a truly warm and inspiring visit. I especially appreciated our conversation with Ukrainian youth about their lives, aspirations and dreams for the future.
I am sincerely grateful to Mayor Michiel Grauss, the municipality of Bodegraven-Reeuwijk and everyone involved for warmly welcoming Ukrainians and providing them with continued support.
Thank you, Minister Berendsen, for your attention to the Ukrainian community and for joining us in celebrating Ukraine’s Independence Day. 🇺🇦🇳🇱

Een ouder heeft geklaagd en nu is het pontje voor de kinderen weggehaald aan de Zijdesingel in Leidschendam. De gemeente vindt het ook te onveilig en haalt strengere veiligheidseisen aan. Wie bedenkt zoiets? Zeg maar dag met je weerbare samenleving.
