Basque corsage, open front to the waist, sleeves three quarters. Corsage with pleated ribbons in front and on the edges of the sleeves, silk fringes of various colours on the edge.

Quilted, glazed woodblock-printed cotton tabby.
Fashionable cloaks protected expensive dresses from the weather. The glazed finish offers some resistance to mud and rain.
