OTD 1991- Lithuanians stood up to tyranny. Many paid the ultimate price. Today Lithuania and the other Baltic countries are free. And they continue to support a free Ukraine, free from Russian tyranny.

35 years ago today, unarmed Lithuanian civilians stood in front of Soviet tanks to defend their country’s freedom.

The true nature of Soviet brutality was laid bare when 14 innocent people were shot and crushed by tanks at the Vilnius TV Tower.

As we commemorate the victims of January 1991 in Vilnius, we remember that Ukraine today is resisting aggression driven by the same imperial agenda.

Another provocation by Russia, this time Russian jets violating Estonian airspace. These are not actions of an nation interested in peaceful relations with it’s neighbors. Europe needs to be on high alert.
