@danae_hudlow I will still die on the hill that it’s better to under-salt initially than overdo it, however. Salt can always be added. It cannot be removed. 😅
@danae_hudlow Josh taught me to salt my cooking properly after we were married, and I’m here to testify that it makes all the difference! 🤌🏻 My mom would always majorly under-salt everything and taught me to do the same, but it’s true that it is a noticeable flavor enhancer. 😍
I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.
@danae_hudlow The. Lowest. They have no factual arguments to make, only mockery and personal attacks. 🙄 I miss the days of civilized discussion of ideas instead of immediate mockery and straw men like usually happens these days.
@danae_hudlow@inane_drivel_@AP4Liberty@KenShepherd If you notice, it’s a whole thing. Give a calm, measured response, and immediately you’re “crazy”, “feminist”, TDS, etc if they don’t like what you say. It’s the exact playbook Trump uses and I’m so weary of it. Such an intellectually lazy way to avoid facts they don’t like.
I’ve never pastored a church. Couldn’t pay me a jillion dollars to. Never been ordained. Have no desire to. The only paid staff position I’ve ever held in a church was as an aerobics teacher in our church gym. But how in heaven’s name a woman discussing a sermon on a podcast could be objectionable to some is beyond me and what I believe to be beyond scripture. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, good. Stay sane. If you do, I’ve lived a long time and this has been my observation:
Extremism, whether in conservatism or liberalism, whether in politics or religion, is never satisfied. It will always inch a little bit further. It’s a constant test of the purists.
@DavidAFrench I hope you are right that it was not intentional, but every time Pete Hegseth opens his mouth to defy every human rights regulation put in place to avoid this type of scenario, the less I believe that. There is evil in this administration that I have not seen in my lifetime. 💔
@danae_hudlow So I don’t think we’ve actually accomplished much as far as real change or eliminating the regime. There’s no plan for putting better people in power either so where is Iran left but with more of the same? I’d love to be wrong here, but that’s how I see it so far. 😅
@danae_hudlow It hasn’t fallen though. We killed some of the regime, but there was a succession plan in place and it has continued without a hitch. Unless I’ve missed something?? Also martyring the ayatollah during Ramadan is only going to fuel their religious fervor rather than dampen it.
