@TriciaHPH @unintrstngcritt @ACORNunion yes exactly - this sort of thing should not be for a profit as we can see it ultimately does more harm than good. I believe we should have a lot more social housing and ways to allow everyone the opportunity to own their home

@TriciaHPH @unintrstngcritt @ACORNunion I think landlordism is inherently unethical - no matter how well you treat tenants you are profiting or wanting to profit of peoples need for shelter. Impossible to say what the solution is but tackling the idea that being a LL is a speed track to passive income would help

@TriciaHPH @unintrstngcritt @ACORNunion well I guess one of the largest issues in society is that the people who control so many peoples access to housing are doing so for profit - and then not even making as much as they would like apparently. it’s not a very logical or fair system.

@TriciaHPH @unintrstngcritt @ACORNunion I didn’t say this was all LL. I have no idea what you would consider a “reasonable rent rise” considering this cost of living crisis. LL raising tenants prices to subsidise their mortgage increases is unethical as they should be bearing the loss of their investment.

@TriciaHPH @unintrstngcritt @ACORNunion essentially - many LL think it’s just a get rich quick scheme and then complain about the costs but these people 1) aren’t entitled to make money from their investments and 2) don’t seem to care about the suffering their priorities inflict on others.
