I appreciate the gesture by a lot of y'all to want to contribute towards a car, but I humbly decline. I am content with what I have, at the stage that I am in life

At the same time, if we can have the mindset towards contributing a luxury item for an individual, surely we can also contribute towards vulnerable members of society e.g orphans, the elderly, the disabled, young girls in rural areas with no access to sanitary pads

We got bigger problems, cholera, an impeding drought, drug addiction in our communities. Let us channel our energy and funds towards such things. Let us look beyond the individual, let us be more about the group

Never thought about this before, it’s worth reading it:

I have always thought that Noah was safe inside the Ark because he built it according to God's specifications. I thought that perhaps it was the strength of the gopher wood and the soundness of the architecture that ensured that the waters of the flood would not come into the Ark.

But today I encountered a verse that shifted this whole paradigm. Let's read what Gen 7:16 says ... "The animals going in were male and female of every living thing as God had commanded Noah... THEN GOD SHUT HIM IN....

Don't miss this.... even after Noah had built the Ark, it was God Himself who shut him in, in order to shut out the waters of the flood... In other translations this verse says "The Lord sealed them inside."

It is not the fact that you have locked your house that keeps you safe at night, it is not your good driving skills that keeps you safe on the road, neither it's your healthy eating habits that keeps you healthy - only God can shut you in and shut out the devil that is seeking to devour you.

The story of Dr. Mthabisi Nembaware deeply resonates with me. When most people see us express our concerns about the state of things in Zimbabwe, they rush to criticize us. However, it's a futile effort because our leaders stripped us of dignity long ago, and the world is now laughing at us, including you.

In 2020, when COVID-19 had just begun, and I contracted the virus, I remember my aunt advising me not to go to a public hospital due to their overwhelming situation. Lacking the financial means, I went to Parirenyatwa Hospital, hoping for some medication to alleviate my symptoms while I self-quarantined at home. During my visit, they didn't even have enough test kits to test me. After waiting for about 3 hours without assistance, I contacted Dr. Chirisa and explained my condition.

Fortunately, through my work connection with him, he referred me to a private health facility in Westgate, where I was tested, and the results came back positive. They promptly provided me with medications to alleviate headaches and chest pains and advised me to get a bed. However, I couldn't afford one, so I returned home, isolated myself in my room, and began quarantine.

I kept Dr. Chirisa updated almost daily, and he provided guidance on what to do. It was a stark realization that a central hospital like Parirenyatwa could run out of test kits during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Only when you fall ill do you truly grasp how flawed our healthcare system is. When we voice these concerns, we often face judgment. However, it's important to note that most people who speak out can afford private healthcare to some extent. They are criticized by those who benefit more from an efficient healthcare system.

As I always say, I don't support politicians or political parties because both come and go. I support ideas that can make a meaningful impact and improve the well-being of our people.

Haven't we lost enough lives already?
