You don't even need to watch the whole thing; the first sentence says it all. If indeed "a whole team" of editors at Hachette went through this to humanize the AI text, those editors should be fired.

Mike Israetel was open, in advance, about his use of AI in the book's content, obviously with the blessing of his publisher. He is far from the only one, especially in the non-fiction realm.

But the embarrassing level of AI-isms, repetition, and slop syntax that was let out the door should be a fireable offense to any editor who signed off on it.
