@WalkerTice The issue with what you’re saying is, if we don’t hold up the definition as stated by the NWS, and just start labeling nearly every storm as severe, nobody will take the word “severe” seriously. Possibly resulting in dire consequences

@WalkerTice This is false. He is bringing up an issue meteorologists all over are trying to bring awareness to. There is a clear definition of a severe storm. As seen here from the NWS website. Even NWS themselves warn storms that don’t meet this at times, which is a huge issue
