@Budgetdog_ People hyperfocus on credit cards points because it's easy and gives the illusion of progress. Increasing income is the real growth lever but it's much harder to do than opening a new credit card.

@3KComeback A good, simple approach if you're looking for high risk and high reward w/o going total degen. Gotta be confident you can hold through volatility with 66% total in VGT and 1 stock. And of course a lot depends on which stock you pick.

@SMB_Attorney The normalization of sports betting has been such a crazy change. Used to be something you could only do if you had a bookie. Now you just download an app and can lose as much money as you want (of course if you win consistently they restrict your account).

@Budgetdog_ Best option: Don't rely on Social Security, aggressively build up your investment portfolio so you can fund your own retirement. This way you also don't need to base your retirement age on when you can take Social Security.

@ramit It's a great deal for the financial advisor. For the client, terrible. Some people will argue this could be worth it for complex situations but even in that case, there are still flat-fee alternatives available.
