So there was a military airstrike that happened in Zamfara like 3 days ago that killed over 100 people (many of whom where women and young girls)? And the whole country was silent? As in 100 people died?

From Abubakar Muhammed
The woman you see here is Aishatu Umar. She was a sister in-law to me, She passed away yesterday around 1:00 AM. She is survived by her husband and five children. Living in Kano, she fell ill a few months ago and underwent surgery at the Abubakar Imam Urology Center in September.
Following the surgery, she suffered from severe abdominal pain. Whenever she went back to the hospital, she was only given pain relievers. She suffered this pain for four months. Just two days ago, tests and scans were finally conducted, revealing that a pair of scissors had been left inside her body during the September operation. Efforts were being made to perform a corrective surgery yesterday, but her time had run out, and she passed away.
Is this not pure negligence? Truly, every soul has its appointed time, but how can professional doctors forget scissors inside a patient? This tarnishes the reputation of healthcare workers and health authorities.
We call on the Kano State Government to investigate and take action. We call on the health regulatory bodies to investigate and take action. We demand justice for Aishatu Umar.

The person you see before you is Muammar Ibrahim, a Sudanese journalist… You could say he is “Sudan’s version of Saleh Al-Ja’frawi.”
√ Just as what happened to Saleh—may he rest in peace—is happening now to Muammar Ibrahim, who is currently in the custody of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), simply because he chose to be the voice of #Sudan.
√ According to Al-Fateh — one of the RSF commanders — in a statement to Al Jazeera, Muammar Ibrahim is indeed in their custody, and since then, there has been no news about him.
√ The same reason that led to the martyrdom of Saleh Al-Ja’frawi is the same reason that may cause the loss of Muammar Ibrahim.
√ Speak about Muammar Ibrahim. Let people know who he is — your post could be the reason for saving your brother, who chose to be the voice of his people in Sudan.
√ We must raise our voices and demand his freedom.
Save Sudan before it’s too late 🤍

The Ochanya case remains one of the clearest, most documented rape cases Nigeria has ever seen, with vivid evidence, confessions, medical reports, and witnesses.
Yet it’s barely trending on twitter. Not because there is no evidence, but because one of the family members who raped and killed Ochanya is a Twitter influencer, a friend to many others with loud voices and large followers.
And so they’ve chosen silence. The same people who tweet passionately about justice, feminism, and humanity, suddenly mute, because the accused family has a member who is one of their own.
It’s painful to watch how clout buries conscience in this generation. How people who should amplify the truth are busy protecting evil for the sake of friendship and network.
The Ochanya case should have been a lesson, a movement, a moment of awakening. Instead, it has become a mirror showing how comfortable we’ve become with injustice, how quickly we forget the victims when the abuser has influence.
But make no mistake, silence does not erase guilt. And no amount of silence from some of you twitter influencers can wash away what was done to that little girl.
We that care will keep speaking her name: Ochanya Ogbanje—until justice is no longer a privilege for the powerful,
but a right for every child who was failed by this nation💔
And to the influencers who has kept quite over this case because of the relationship you have with @Winifunds who’s a daughter and sister to rapists and murderers of Ochanya, posterity will judge you all.
Frame 1&2. The victim.
Frame 3&4. The family that murdered the victim, the parent and sibling of @Winifunds

Do you know what's more painful about Ochanya's predicament?
She was doing so well in the village school. She said she wanted to be a medical doctor when she grows up.
Winifred's mum returned to the village one Christmas.
Decided to take Ochanya to the City to get good education since she was sound and intelligent.
And that was the end of her dreams, her ambition, and her life.
Winifred's dad and brother raped her for five years till she d!ed.
Guess what!
The rapists children are doing so well in life.
Winifred is now a lawyer and a social media influencer.
Victor is doing so well in his musical career, and he's about to release a track.
Ihotu, the rapist's last born who was in the same class with Ochanya just got admission to Benue State University.
Ochanya would have been 20years now, and probably in her 100level studying her dream course, Medicine and Surgery in Benue State University.
But she was used as the sacrificial lamb.
Can I tell you something?
Ochanya has come back to demand for justice.
This time around, with you, I and millions of Nigerians solidly behind her shouting for justice.
This time around, we will not allow the case to be swept under the carpet like it was in 2018.
Until justice prevails, we remain Ochanya's voice.
Remember, silence in the face of injustice is INJUSTICE—and evil.

A 45-year-old man in Jalingo raped a 6-year-old girl who happens to be his Naighbour, and he’s HIV positive. I covered the report. He’s now in police custody, but there’s a chance he might be released because of his connections.1/2…
A Nigeria Igbo, worker Okey Vitalis, who joined the Freedom Flotilla, was abducted by the Israeli occupation forces and has since vanished without a trace.
But some Nigerians with dead brain cells say they support Israel.
🚨The brave activists on board the flotilla have asked for all eyes to stay on them tonight as they near the danger zone.

Some individuals in a Prado Jeep went to the @Sarki_sultan residence around 2:00 AM last night and took him away. Up till now, we do not know who they are. Earlier, he called his wife, asking her to remain calm, but at the moment his phone is no longer reachable.

Suliamon Olufemi: Forgotten On Death Row in Saudi Arabia
1. Suliamon Olufemi, a Nigerian national from Badagry Lagos, was born on 20 April 1978. He travelled to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa in September 2002. On arrival at the airport in Jeddah, Suliamon called his friend who he was scheduled to stay with in Jeddah.
2. On 28 September 2002, some days after Suliamon arrived in Saudi Arabia, he followed the Nigerians that offered him accommodation to a car wash in the Bab Sharif area of Jeddah, where many African nationals worked as car cleaners. On the day, a group of local men with guns, among them a police officer, raided the location and a dispute broke out between the local men and the foreign nationals which resulted in the police officer getting injured, he later died. The following day, 29 September 2002, mass arrests were carried out of foreign nationals by the Saudi authorities, including Suliamon Olufemi. He was put on trial for the incident and the death of the police officer.
3. Amnesty International received reports that Suliamon was tortured during interrogation in order to force him to sign statements written in Arabic, a language that he could neither read nor understand. Under duress he was said to have put his fingerprints, which can be taken as a substitute for a signature, to a statement written in Arabic. He later learnt in court that he had “signed” a statement that said that he had hit the police officer over the head with a gun.
4. Suliamon Olufemi was sentenced to death in May 2005 following a closed trial which took place in the absence of legal or consular representation or adequate interpretation and translation facilities.
5. According to Shari’a law in Saudi Arabia, if a crime is punished under the rule of qisas (retribution), as in Suliamon Olufemi’s case, relatives of the murder victim have the right to decide if the offender should be executed or pardoned, in which case the death penalty is dropped, sometimes in return for diya (compensation or “blood money”) Family of the deceased police officer demanded payment of diya.
6. Diya was paid for Suliamon Olufemi over a year ago in July 2024. Others prosecuted together with Suliamon were released after payment of diya. But Suliamon is still in detention.
7. Amnesty International urges the government of Saudi Arabia to release Suliamon. The Nigerian authorities must intervene to end the anguish of Suliamon and his family.

We are still sailing. 37 boats are currently heading to Gaza, soon to be joined by six more from Greece.
Organisers currently believe only one boat was too badly damaged by the explosions last night to continue.
Night will come in the next few hours and, with it, the possibility of renewed attacks. We know you are watching us - thank you.
Gaza - we know this is a grain of sand compared to the suffering you experience every minute of every day. We are coming 🇵🇸❤️
