"About 22.5% of Alaska’s workforce lived outside Alaska in 2023" (!)
Including many police officers in rural hubs. As one Kotzebue officer said on "Alaska PD," at the end of each shift, he gets to leave Alaska and "go someplace nice."

US law is clear: No nation blocking US humanitarian aid can receive US weapons.
Palestinian children are forced to eat pet food and bug infested flour, but @SecBlinken says there’s no need to change our policy. The Biden administration is refusing to comply with US law.
Remember when one of her staffers laid hands on someone speaking up on the genocide in Gaza? I certainly havent. That was an enlightening moment on what her campaign stood for
I guess taking advantage of your base, turning your back on your own people for oil/mining, voting to fund Israel, and catering to Republicans didnt work. Why would Republicans vote for you when they can vote for an actual Republican?
A few years back in Yosemite there was a problem with bears getting into trash cans and ppl said ‘why not make the cans more complex?’ And a ranger said ‘bc there is significant overlap between the smartest bear and dumbest human’ and this election feels like that quote to me
Great news! The Alaska State House has flipped. We now have a pro-education, pro-worker majority in charge, and I’m in it! The bipartisan coalition in the AK Senate held strong. Both bodies are ready to collaborate. Thank you, Alaska. Expect good things ♥️ #AKelect#akleg
There’s just something about Alaska, and when you’re Alaska Native you cannot abandon your own land and people. You can’t let people destroy your home.
Mary Peltola turned her back on her own region Bethel by switching sides to support Donlin Gold, turned her back on Alaska Native people by pushing Willow, and voted to fund Israel. If she actually supported her base her race wouldn’t be so close.
Looking through results for local for any hope. None for my district but Eastman is out. Despite everything this feels good. Even Republicans hated him so much they pushed him out.
My pessimism suspected this and it really did feel like 2016 all over again, even when i thought this would happen. Knowing something will happen doesn’t make it any worse
An Alaska Native like Peltola should know the devastating impacts genocide has on a population. Alaska Natives still struggle today from the impacts of genocide the US government enacted. She should know better than to vote to arm Israel, she even went over party lines to do so

9 Indigenous candidates are running for the US House of Representatives! Including incumbent Mary Peltola, the first Alaskan Native Congressperson and Jonathan Nez who would be the 1st Native representative for AZ.

She is just trying so hard to be don young it’s kind of cringe. Can’t wait until an Alaska Native leader who will actually protect our lands and way of life gets elected. Not one who cares more about money and extracting from our lands. These projects are not long term solutions!
