@googlephotos you know a LOT about me.
Can you kindly bugger off giving me 'autumn memories' in November.
If you can search chipmunk and see both an animal AND my kids with people in Alvin Simon and Theodore you can surely tell the difference between hemispheres and seasons.
@MrPostsGood We had 5 bad experiences in a row. Then a good one.
Older electrician landlord. Fixed things when raised, to a reasonable point.
But... We moved in at $415/w for a 4br. We left ten years later at I think $430/w in 2021.
Honestly he's the reason we own a home now.
@sweatystartup@cliftonsellers Americans are honestly crazy when it comes to what a vehicle should be.
I just bought a Sorento, here it is a large SUV. US reviews call it a small SUV. If you are taking safety in re first place extreme unnecessary size and weight is also a factor.
@elonmusk I'm sure there is a law about this that's quotable that will be shared shortly and I'm sure somehow whatever it is wouldn't apply to say Nigel Farage on the other side.
I mean I'm not sure what or how, but there must be...
@declanmartin75 In SOME fairness, and it's only partial, whilst the US has some very huge banks, they also have thousands of small ones. So industry wide change is hard. They also have a natural community resistance.
But yes, it's a bit crazy.
I'm a fan of free speech, but I scroll my timeline & the amplification of blatantly insane rhetoric, ridiculous baseless claims and general extremism + the absence of sensible discussion moving humanity forward shows 'we're doing this wrong'
Anyhow, here's Zero for mental health.
@danwalmsley@coldhealing I mean in some fairness you are mentally weird, as are we all. But then again true at 30 as well.
All about finding the matching or complementary level of weird for a partner. 😂
Tell me you hate your family members without saying you hate your family members.
Judging by their time line unlikely to be true but if it were what a horrible thing to do to a 'close relative'
I asked a close relative if they would support me if I thought I was transgender.
She said yes.
It’s sad to see that something which is so medically and mentally damaging and should be considered as a form of self harm is welcomed with open arms.
If I felt so uncomfortable with my own body and identity, I would want support and love from my family members that I’m fine the way I am. Not to encourage me to go through harmful surgery so I can never have a normal happy life.
@richardosman I hired a guy called Tasman Cross, and being in Australia with the name of a sea separating us from NZ and a verb depicting a common thing to do with such sea... And the infamous cross tasman rivalries... Was hard to get details on him.
@danwalmsley@eigenrobot Agreed, but actually even if that DID happen I like the fact that they might. It is more interesting that regardless if Trump came out in a onesie and said he wanted to bomb Australia because of a drop bear threat the republicans wouldn't.
@danwalmsley@BretWeinstein Somewhat counter-intuitively history seems to suggest the reverse. In a close race looking like the underdog encourages turnout and settings votes, looking 'strong' often breeds apathy.
So not only do I not think it's happening, I think there isn't even an incentive.
Is it not simply a case of 'mention 2024 or a date to trigger searches' vs 'no date and no data when the model training was done' standard AI behaviour. Asking about Kamala without 2024 only brings info from 2020. Asking about trump July 2024 brings information.
@danwalmsley@DrEliDavid It's funny to see so many 'because of the backlash' or 'they are trying to silence' as if the Olympics didn't always aggressively defend copyright/trademark/dmca in a way that puts Disney/Nintendo to shame.
Its the case the last few decades for ALL content positive or negative.
@danwalmsley@WarClandestine Agreed, it cannot be the case that if a person voted on 6+ months ahead can't or won't continue that the party could not field a candidate in that election at all.
Same on other side if the attempt on trump had left him unable to continue or not wanting to continue.
Linguistically the sign...
The addition of 'don't touch the reins' waters down the primary warning.
I can see it being perceive as 'approach is OK but don't touch the runs for fear of kicking or biting'.
Is not the intent, but I can see it...
