@AChicagoSpartan@OutInOrbit@cryptoklotz Then why do many dentists rush to fill a cavity rather than tell the patient to come back in six months (or whatever interval) to see if the tooth remineralized with appropriate instruction on diet and hygiene?
@lynnkoger1@raymondnichols_ A mechanic is paid to diagnose and to fix an actual problem. A doctor is paid whether or not the diagnostics and the treatment "fixes" anything at all. So for a mechanic, the outcome matters with regard to pay, but the outcome is irrelevant in healthcare with regard to pay
@Floridagirl0850 The appointment is free with Prime, but in exchange, you're giving up all your personal medical information. Imagine what your "file" will look like with a decade worth of purchases and now all your medical info. If it's "free" than you're the product.
@Cali_saloni@realdocspeaks There are many nurse practitioners with a doctorate in nurse practitioning who refer to themselves as "Dr. So and So." Most patients don't know the difference and assume that the nurse is an actual MD.
@ConcernedC98488@TedLogan1010 Why is it crazy? The mom has assets to pay for the care she needs. Sell the assets and pay for the care. I as a taxpayer don't want to pay for someone else's care just so her children can inherit her assets? Pay for your own needs.
@KristyT Why isn't anyone asking why teachers are drinking soda? Have you seen what a lot of teachers look like with regard to body mass? Regular... diet... it's all terrible for the body, especially for those with metabolic disorders.
@SundusRaza3@MaryBowdenMD During those "useless" undergraduate years is when doctors learn calculus, biochemistry, organic chemistry, anatomy & physiology, statistics, physics: all foundational knowledge for medical school
@sabooky15@MaryBowdenMD Yes! And nurse practitioners in some states (like Washington) do not even a physician to supervise them. They can just open up their own independent business as practice like a real doctor.
@DB_Wall_Flower@MaryBowdenMD@JBlunt1018 That doesn't happen. They stay here & have kids. These kids are US citizens and eligible to vote in 18 years. Demographics changed forever.
@aaronjcrook01@bigalleycat@johnjoy82@DefiantLs Sounds good! How about you get up at 5am, commute an hour, work 12 hours, commute home. Do that 5-6 days per week and send money to me to buy my family's health insurance, internet & food. I'll just sleep in and play video games all day while watching my IRA & trust fund grow
@HannahDCox I would never take dogs to vet except that boarding facilities require shots. If you don't have anyone to watch your dog, you're stuck and have to use a boarding kennel if you go out of town.
