@USDOL The Supreme Court said the government cannot promote religion, assistance MUST be secular, and there should be no entanglement between church and state. So you must be referring to Trump as our king???
@SecWar What about separation of church & state?
The Supreme Court in Lemon v. Kurtzman, said gov’t can assist religion only if: the primary purpose of the assistance is secular, the assistance neither promotes nor inhibits religion, and there is entanglement between church and state.
@ConsvAF@RpsAgainstTrump How would you feel if a democratic president did this? I’m a democrat and I wouldn’t stand for it, no matter how much I liked the guy in office. Power eventually corrupts any one.
@MAGAVoice He is president of the entire population, a substantial part of which disagrees with many of his executive orders. To him, protest and disagreement are equivalent to insurrection. Peaceful, nonviolent protest is the American way.
@tiredofthemall@bonchieredstate Nope. Just a Trump has power over everyone else. What is known as a dictator. An autocrat. An oligarch. Who needs a constitution, the law or judges anyway?
@SemperVeritasX Peaceful protest is an American right. These are the people who disagree with Trumps policies. There was no violence, no damage. This is what democracy looks like. Freedom of assembly and free speech are part of what makes America great, and makes me proud to be an American.
@LAGovJeffLandry@realDonaldTrump The only thing that’s being returned to the states is federal funding. Title 1, school lunches, special education services and federal aid for colleges are all coming from your budgets. Happy are you?
