Flagged on @Pinterest. Apparently, this old anatomical sketch was classified as “adult content.”
I wonder what kind of digital world we’re entering when AI can’t distinguish a tailbone from something else entirely… flagged in the name of "decency", "ethics", and "common sense".
Went for a walk yesterday. Everything was covered with fine fibers, like spider webs, only visible against the sun. Strung between leaves and branches, criss-crossing tabletops. Anyone else seeing these??
@duolingo Too bad the free version is not worth it with the new "energy" points program. Totally demoralizing. I can learn Japanese on my own without you. I got to level 100 and I'm on a 4-yr. streak. I was recommending it to all my language students...Not anymore!
The Sound Of Silence Lyrics (Acoustic Version) | Simon and Garfunkle #80... going to develop an #ESL session about this song, such a classic!! https://t.co/eojS04GaAQ via @YouTube
@historyinmemes Fraga, then Minister of Tourism, bathed in the sea, saying it was safe in Palomares, but he actually was said to be in Mojacar, 17 km away. The USA "compensated" for the disaster gifting the tiny town a water desalination plant, plunked on the beach, never connected to the grid.
@historyinmemes Really, people? I live in Spain & spent years summering near Palomares. I heard the stories, 4 bombs fell from an American plane in the area, one in the sea found by a fishing trawler, one in a tomato field, opened, white powder spilling out. 2 more. "Tomatoes are ok!" they said.
@historyinmemes Also saw the nearby mountain missing 1/4 of its top, contaminated material hauled away. Got it all? Who knows? High levels of cancers in the area, I've heard. Don't you think of the people who were affected? Here the focus is on the hero who lost his leg. I'm all for heroism, too
