@PaleBlueMomma That's what most of these people boil down to, they literally don't understand the concept and because they've never seen it first hand, it must not exist
moms of babies who are naturally good sleepers who think it was due to something special they did instead of realizing they just got super lucky have got to be the most annoying moms on the planet
you shouldn’t be allowed to give advice on baby sleep unless you’ve had enough babies to have one that sleeps really poorly no matter what you try. and then you would realize that your advice is retarded because some babies simply DON’T SLEEP
Genuinely never have any idea what you people are talking about, you just convince yourselves that people you don’t like are ugly, but because I’m not emotional and a high decoupler I can admit she’s an attractive woman and that she looked like a completely normal and sweet mom which is also what all of her character witnesses have confirmed
Okay time for men to stay at home then while mom works her girlboss job and has plenty of hobbies that keep her out of the house and away from children that she is clearly a danger to
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but after Lindsay was instructed to double her Zoloft dose, she went 48 hours without sleep and freaked out. That was clear “activation” and her prescriber identified it as such yet still leveraged it into a bipolar diagnosis. And more drugs. Despite a negative bipolar screen and no history of mania.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Lindsay also couldn’t tolerate Prozac. When she said Seroquel made her depressed and numb, her psychiatrist said she was “over-attributing” symptoms to medication.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Lindsay was prescribed roughly 13 psychiatric drugs in four months with no coherent deprescribing plan. Eight days before the killings, she started amitriptyline; the day before, she was told to double it.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but nobody established that Lindsay had a serotonin deficiency because psychiatry has no validated clinical test for low brain serotonin. A 2022 umbrella review found no convincing evidence that depression is caused by low serotonin. The “chemical imbalance” story was always marketing presented as settled science.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but SSRIs block the serotonin transporter, SERT, and their dose-occupancy curve is hyperbolic. Tiny doses can still occupy a substantial share of transporters, making a conventional final drop to zero potentially the largest biological change of the taper. Neuroadaptation can begin within weeks. Even short exposure can warrant a hyperbolic taper, especially after a bad reaction.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but genetic differences can materially alter how these drugs are metabolized. Lindsay received no pharmacogenetic testing. Such testing is rare.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but FDA antidepressant labeling warns about abrupt agitation, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia, hypomania and mania, especially when treatment begins or doses change.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Lilly excluded 76 of 97 reported suicidality cases from one fluoxetine analysis. A Lilly Germany employee objected to instructions to recode “suicide attempt” as “overdose” and “suicidal ideation” as “depression.”
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but premeditation does not disqualify psychosis. A psychotic person can carry out an organized plan while reasoning from a delusional premise. That’s basic psychiatry.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but a federal civil jury found Paxil caused Donald Schell to kill his family and himself. And a judge found that David Hawkins would not have killed his wife but for Zoloft.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but this also happened to William Forsyth, David Carmichael, Shane Clancy, Neal Jacobson and Peter Miles. Each case involved recent antidepressant or psychiatric-drug exposure followed by horrific, profoundly uncharacteristic violence.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but “most people who take Zoloft do not murder their children” is obvious. “Zoloft cannot contribute to lethal violence in a susceptible person” is a very different claim.
You can condemn Lindsay Clancy without granting psychiatry immunity. Your little slogan does not explain what happened to her, and it doesn’t prove the drugs were irrelevant.
“babies don’t need to eat overnight” girl if my baby is hungry my baby is gonna eat. They are constantly growing their bodies and their brains. Why is this even a discourse
My 1st baby never slept, despite doing everything. Older, judgmental women always had something to say because of course I wasn’t doing it right. 🙄 I wish I hadn’t paid attention.
Women like this are so detrimental to young moms.
You had an easy baby, great. Be quiet.
People in the comments calling her abusive behavior as a “stress response” is so enraging. Watching your toddler scream and cry in pain while you aggressively yank at her hair is child abuse, plain and simple.
Some people simply do not deserve to be parents.
These people are retarded. They think hospitals are just slightly better jails for crazies. They are released when rehabilitated. That can be 1 year, 10 years, or never.
Clarification:
When I say, "Not Guilty By Reason Of Mental Disease or Defect," I am NOT saying she should be set free.
I am saying she should be committed to a secure psychiatric hospital, hopefully for the rest of her life. She should never be back on the streets.
@heyekp I never sleep trained my son (lucked out and he started sleeping 12h a night at 6mo) but can we just normalize letting people do whatever works best for their families without anyone trying to claim their way is best
