Having been treated unfairly for years, my dad stayed at his job to put his last child through college: Me. The day I graduated was the day he said, “I can finally stop.” My dad will be retiring this August. ❤️
People ask me what my driving force is. He’s one of them.
I’m so happy the women in their 30s and 40s are saying how wonderful it is. How much there is to look forward to and how different things are. Makes a woman in her 20s feel a bit better about the future
I will ALWAYS advocate for women in male dominated fields bc god forbid my future daughter has to live in a world where she doesn’t feel like she’s worthy enough—or worse, feel like she’s “too much”—to sit at the goddamn table.
I’m getting fucking TIRED of being talked over and not being looked at in the eye when answering MY questions. Then MEN have the audacity to say I PUSH MY WAY INTO CONVERSATION?
Maybe I HAVE become too aggressive.
Maybe I DO demand acknowledgement.
I wonder fucking why. 🤷🏽♀️
Ok don’t get me wrong, I love my job, I love my work, I love my team.
But little things add up. These little things that can make a bad day worse. And it’s not just happening in one place, it’s everywhere, in minute ways, and women have to sometimes just suck it up.
