Really loved ‘The Olive Boy’ @swkplay tonight. Ollie Maddigan’s a charismatic & skilled performer who adeptly took the audience through the gamut of emotions (loads of laughter, many tears, some cringing) in his one-man show about a teenage boy’s grief and longing. #theoliveboy
@Nylonman14@TRH_London A solo bow? I’m not disputing it, you were disputing that he didn’t get one in the performance I saw. Which was an earlier one than you went to. I’m not surprised at all they change it because it was such a strange devision & many audience members were puzzled.
@nomorecutz@SEN_advice Agreed. From my own professional experience I’d say he did have a point in there *but* the way he made it very generally, and not specifically, was insensitive, misleading & uninformed.
@SEN_advice Because:
1. I was, & was interested in discussing.
2. I wondered if your tweets were a reaction simply to IPSEA’s tweets or also from greater context of being at conference.
That talk was indeed bit shocking at times but also in fairness, IPSEA’s tweets are bit simplistic.
@tweetingina3@IPSEAcharity@lb_southwark Would you be surprised to learn that the Southwark Head of Sen, who was supposed to be speaking, was v late to the session - with no apologies or explanation for her absence - and was only able to be there for the 5 minute Q&A part?
@knightjennyk@akan_books@HQstories Oh wow Jenny I was thinking about you, came on here to connect with you and saw this news - huge congratulations, SO well deserved! X
