kehlani really put into words how dangerous social media has gotten… people will decide who you are from one moment, one song or even a lie from a random account, and suddenly that version of you matters more than your actual life. learning to stop shrinking yourself for people who were never going to understand you anyway is so important.
By the way my rule in life is I do not voluntarily participate in my own suffering. And I will ditch anything that tries to make me a willing participant in my own suffering. If I can't exit immediately, just know I'm planning my exit and I will exit at some point.
This is your reminder that Some of your parents are merely vessels for you to come through. Thats it. That was the contract. They were never meant to nurture you-they never had the capacity. They were never meant to love you- emotionally they never had the capacity. They were never meant to build you up- You were destined to surpass and overpower them. You are a child of the most high- not these humans.
Ms. Rachel on Gaza: “Why would we bomb kids? All of their schools and their hospitals and then say we can’t call this genocide when the UN said this is intentional target of children. Children were shot in the head and chest. I always think when this comes out, the world’s gonna act. When the UN says it’s genocide with this report, the world’s gonna act - no”
I hope I never lose the ability to be impressed by ordinary things. A good meal. A cool breeze. A message that arrives at the right time. A morning where my mind is not fighting itself.
Intimacy and access to you should only deepen reverence for you. Familiarity and closeness are no reason to become careless with you. Stop being with people who only know how to revere from afar. They do not know how to love what they can touch. They worship projections of themselves, all while hating themselves.
one of my favorite parts about life is being so aligned with people/your environment that they randomly confirm things you’ve only been talking to yourself or God about lol
Be careful with conclusions you only reach when you’re exhausted, ashamed, angry, or afraid. Your feelings are valid, but they don’t always contain the whole truth.
The comeback of a spiritual woman who was once “fumbled” is always so deeply ethereal. She returns softer, wiser, more discerning, and more powerful than ever. What was meant to break her only deepened her connection to herself and her Creator. Graced in full embodiment, she remembers exactly who she is.
