After multiple mass shootings, one of which killed the co-owner of Chemistry Restaurant, Isaac Bradley, you would think the public safety meeting chambers would be packed.
Only five aldermen showed up. When ICE came to deport illegal aliens back to their countries, every elected official was here, the chambers were packed, and they held five press conferences, but nothing for the citizens of this city.

To you, it's just a Cracker Barrel parking lot. To me, it's where I gave my life to Jesus Christ.
I was 21 years old. I was working at the Cracker Barrel in Tallahassee after some of the worst years of my life. I'd made mistakes. Real ones.
I grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, raised by a mom who worked hard and didn't accept excuses. But I made decisions that should have ended my story before it ever really started. By the grace of God, they didn't. But every day, I was carrying them.
One afternoon, a church group came into the restaurant, just back from a revival. I served them their meals like I served any other table. But something happened while I was serving them. I can't fully explain it to you. The Lord spoke to me. He said, “Stop running from Me.”
It knocked me back.
I went to find the table, and they were all gone. I could see through their windows that they were getting on their bus, and I knew deep down that if I let them drive away, I was going to keep running. So I went outside. The last woman, just as she was stepping onto the bus, turned to me and asked, “Are you okay?”
I told her, “No ma’am, I’m not okay.” I told her the Lord was telling me to stop running.
That whole bus emptied out, stood with me in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel in Tallahassee, Florida, and prayed over me right there.
I gave my life to Christ that day. Right there.
I still get emotional about it. Because I know what I was before that moment, and I know what He's done since. He gave me a wife who shares my faith. He gave me three sons. He gave me a career, a community, a calling I never would have dared to ask for. He took a kid from Crown Heights who’d run out of chances and gave him a life that doesn't make sense apart from grace.
People ask me sometimes why I talk about it. Why I bring up the parking lot. Why I don't just keep that part private and let folks see the polished version.
I'll tell you why.
Because there's a young man out there right now — maybe in Tallahassee, maybe in Tampa, maybe in Miami, maybe in a small town in the Panhandle — who thinks his story is already over. Who thinks the mistakes he's made disqualify him from the life he could have had. Who thinks God doesn't want anything to do with somebody like him.
I'm here to tell him: that's a lie.
In life, you're not who you are at the lowest point. You're who you choose to become after.
The Lord met me in a Cracker Barrel parking lot. He'll meet you wherever you are.
You just have to stop running.
Today, I officially filed to run for the United States Senate!
Minnesotans are looking for a common-sense leader, not another career politician. I’m running to bring new leadership to Washington and put Minnesota first.
We're coming for those seats.
Listen, Chicago , it's going to take all of us to save this city.
The political machine is already preparing for the next mayoral race, and they're going to promise you everything they could have already done while they're in office right now.
Most of the people talking about running for mayor already hold elected office. They vote on budgets, approve spending, and have access to information the public doesn't.
So where were they when crime was rising, businesses were leaving, taxes were increasing, and Chicago's finances were being mismanaged?
Many of them helped create the problems they're now promising to fix.
Chicago cannot keep playing musical chairs with the same political insiders and expect different results.
Take Lincoln Yards. In 2019, City Council approved a TIF projected at up to $900 million. Some analyses estimate the total commitment could reach approximately $1.3 billion when financing costs are included.
Now it's 2026.
How much has been spent? What has been completed? What return have taxpayers received? Who benefited?
And here's what I don't understand. Susan Mendoza wants to now criticize Brandon Johnson over TIF spending, but she's been in office for years too.
Susan Mendoza is the Illinois Comptroller. Her office's responsibility includes processing and issuing state payments authorized by law. If things were so broken, where was the alarm years ago?
Why are so many politicians suddenly discovering problems when campaign season is approaching, and their planning on running for Mayor?
Chicago doesn't need another machine candidate. Chicago doesn't need another insider moving to a different seat.
Chicago needs accountability. Chicago needs transparency. Chicago needs real change.
Chicago needs.

I spoke at Daley Plaza yesterday, and while I was speaking, it came across the news that people were being shot and a smash-and-grab was happening in real time.
Right while I was talking, we had a shooting in progress and a smash-and-grab in progress.
Come on, America. Come on, Chicagoans. Enough is enough.
Leadership matters. Public safety matters. Accountability matters.

He is risen!!
Happy Easter fam!
Today we celebrate the greatest moment in human history. Jesus conquering death so that we could truly live.
No greater love, no greater gift, no greater reason to celebrate. Wishing you and your families a blessed Easter full of joy! 🙏
A 13-year-old girl is fighting for her life tonight in Chicago.
She was standing outside with friends near 38th & Cottage Grove in Bronzeville when someone in a passing car opened fire.
She was shot multiple times and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Think about that.
A child.
Thirteen years old.
This is what families in our communities are living with while Democratic politicians like @ChicagosMayor@GovPritzker JB Pritzker , and the rest of them continue to ignore the violence destroying our neighborhoods.
Our children deserve to be able to stand outside, walk home, and play without being caught in gunfire.
Chicago must start putting Chicagoans First , especially our children.
Pray for this young girl and her family. 🙏

Let me get this straight…
An illegal had over 30 prior arrests
The police warned not to release him because he’s dangerous
He was released anyway
He then murdered a woman
Any now Abigail Spanberger says she’s not handing him over to ICE??
This should be a much bigger story
The Bible was written on three continents.
Asia.
Africa.
Europe.
In three languages.
Hebrew.
Aramaic.
Greek.
By over 40 different men —
Shepherds.
Kings.
Prophets.
Fishermen.
A doctor.
Across roughly 1,500 years.
Yet it tells one continuous story:
Creation.
Fall.
Redemption.
Christ.
Different writers.
Different centuries.
Different cultures.
One voice.
Because behind the human hands was a divine Author.
Men held the pens.
But God wrote the story.
I don’t have a $100 million war chest funded by the DC establishment.
I have to earn this.
I’ve done 50+ events and more than 200 interviews.
I’m not hiding in Washington like John Cornyn.
I’m in Texas, shaking hands, answering tough questions, earning votes.
This isn’t about votes you miss.
It’s about the votes you take.
And that’s where the contrast couldn’t be clearer.
❌John Cornyn co-authored gun control legislation in Texas.
❌He supported policies that allowed tens of thousands of Afghan migrants into this country without proper vetting.
❌He opposed the border wall before pretending he built it.
Those weren’t missed votes.
Those were BAD votes.
Texans want a fighter who is willing to bring the energy and work for this seat.
No one has or will outwork me.
And on March 3rd, Texas is going to choose NEW leadership, not establishment seniority.
The time is NOW.
There are no more slaves.
There are no more slave owners.
It’s NOT 1860.
It’s 2026.
And if you still see America only through the lens of chains and plantations, you’re ignoring the power of what this country actually is.
My great-great-grandfather was born a slave on Rosedown Plantation just north of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
That’s not a history book.
That’s my bloodline.
Fast forward a few generations.
Three of his great-great-grandchildren graduated from West Point.
Three served in the United States military.
At one point, my brother, my sister, and I were all deployed to Baghdad at the same time: defending this great nation.
And now?
One of his descendants is running for the United States Senate — and surging.
Not because of the color of my skin.
Not because of a box I check.
But because of service.
Because of character.
Because I love this country and I’m willing to fight for it.
And yes… I’ve done all of this as a conservative.
Here’s the question no one on the left wants to answer:
If America is systemically racist and permanently broken… how does a family go from slavery to West Point to combat deployments to United States Congress in just a few generations?
That story doesn’t exist everywhere.
It exists here.
Let’s have that conversation.
