The WL game has become weird

Projects say: “We don’t care about followers or influence. We want real creators.”

But then almost every big influencer gets WL, while genuinely good small creators get ignored.

Then you see small users posting:
“Why is my application still pending?”
“When will you approve me?”
“I created content for you, why no WL?”

Don’t beg. You’re giving your time, money and attention for free.

I’m not against projects or influencers. Influencers bring attention, projects need hype, and that relationship has existed forever.

But let’s be honest about how the game works:

Influencer posts → users engage → hype increases → project gets attention.

The project and influencer benefit the most. The majority of users simply create the noise that keeps the cycle moving.

I’ve experienced this myself.

@zec_bit — first Zcash project I applied to. No WL.

@zksnarks — made 2 videos, spending ~$30 each + my time. No WL.

@zaddrnet — created awareness content. Still doubtful about my chances.

@BITFOOTS_ — made what I think is a genuinely good video, hoping for support and very low chance of WL. I know their spots are extremely limited.

I’ve also applied to @zkghosts_, @ZeckersNFT, @fomoater and will continue supporting projects like @zecfrogs , @Zeccatnft, @CypherSquadZec, @Zdacted and others when I find them worth contributing to.

Maybe my chances are 0.01%. But I’ll still contribute when I believe the project deserves it.

My point isn’t “give me WL.”

Give small creators a chance.

If someone is genuinely spending hours creating content, spending money, and bringing awareness to your project, don't let their effort disappear just because they don't have 10K followers or they don't have links.

And to users:

Don’t beg for WL. Create because you believe in your work.

Projects need influencers.

But they also need the small creators who build the community before the hype arrives.
