Brent Duffe, Haiden Deegan’s mechanic, was fined $500 for making contact with Ayden Shive using his pit board after Shive was lapped by Deegan in the first Houston main event.
The penalty comes under a newly enforced rule for 2026, and Star Racing Yamaha boss Bobby Regan was clearly unhappy with the call—stepping in to pay the fine himself.
