I am not posting on this platform much anymore. Check me out on LinkedIn or Bluesky. Things will be heating up in 2025 but for the next few days a bit of end of year reflection and relaxation is happening.
It is a really jarring moment to be a historian. To know what might be coming is alarming. To realize that no one around you sees it or acknowledges it is a weird place to be in. Its like time traveling without time traveling. 1/8
Adam McNamara will send the Ontario Science Centre the $522,500 required to keep it open for 2024. All those summer children’s programs will not need to be cancelled/relocated. All those staff won’t be laid off or displaced at the 11th hour.
I’m retweeting this because I would like to see this happen. (And I know Adam, and I know he is serious.)
Would you like to see this happen?
You want me to pay $500+ worth of charges I didn’t make?? And multiple help requests have resulted in “sorry. Make a payment t and you’ll be able to use the app again”. Totally not acceptable.
@Uber you are requiring I pay for charges not made by me, knowing these was suspicious activity on my account. Blocking my ability to use the account. I was an early and frequent customer and will be removing my whole family from your app due to this.
Listen to our recent episode of Climate Compass. In this episode, @lzizzo chats with @natureunited_ca's Executive Director, Hadley Archer. The two discuss why nature risks matter, how the #TNFD will change the nature reporting landscape and more. https://t.co/8B7CrU7eyz
How do we convince people to care about nature, or defeat Citizen's United, or change political parties, people often ask me, in order to fix climate change? The reality is, we don't have time for that.
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new podcast Climate Compass! In our first episode, our host @lzizzo provides an exclusive interview with @Pauljohnsimpson, CDP’s Co-founder and former CEO, about all things climate disclosure. https://t.co/v49JXDW908

We need to lead the electrification transformation and create pre competitive partnerships to make a clean and sustainable supply chain right here in North America as future competitiveness is at stake, Says Ford’s Global Sustainability Director, Cynthia Williams. #NASRS23
Our Co-Founder & CEO @lzizzo sat down with @CapitalMonitorA to discuss why climate commitments can no longer be seen as individual goals or separate responsibilities and the importance of developing cross-functional climate competency. https://t.co/OJ1ZsO0Rgr

@ChefKevinKing@CNPpower@TownOfFortErie@PortColborne Thanks. They ended up getting in their car just when the snow started this morning and drove to me in Toronto. Still no power at their home. We are celebrating Christmas together now. Hope those without heat are hanging in there. Glad restoration efforts are making progress.
@ChefKevinKing@CNPpower@TownOfFortErie@PortColborne That’s very nice. They are surviving ok with blankets and warm drinks heated on a candle. Their Neighbours with gas stove brought some warm food. they really want to host Christmas once power comes back. But with no indication when that will be, it’s tough.
My take on the need for consistency and competency in TCFD-aligned reporting as being the foundation of good climate strategy and communication in @Enviro_Finance
