Only the richest 4% of people pay Inheritance Tax.
Only the richest 1.5% of farmers will pay HALF Inheritance Tax spread over 10 years.
This is a protest funded by the obscenely wealthy who want to pay no tax at all.
I've long since given up seeking perfection. But we must surely strive for improvement? Maybe some don't like everything Labour are doing, but they are a massive improvement on the shower we had for 14 years
Labour need time, and they need our support
Rather than worry about Rachel Reeves CV how about looking at 9 areas Labour have been focusing on this week. Making lives better for ordinary people in Britain.
@RobertMSterling Excellent list. Also, ‘services’ , I don’t want to do all your detailed admin work for flights, hotels etc and have the threat of cancellation or amendment fees hanging over me if I make a mistake.
Absolutely! And I don’t want to do all the admin work for you when booking travel or events with the threat of a cancellation or alteration fee hanging over me if I make a mistake.
I don’t want to connect my coffee machine to the wifi network. I don’t want to share the file with OneDrive. I don’t want to download an app to check my car’s fluid levels. I don’t want to scan a QR code to view the restaurant menu. I don’t want to let Google know my location before showing me the search results. I don’t want to include a Teams link on the calendar invite. I don’t want to pay 50 different monthly subscription fees for all my software. I don’t want to upgrade to TurboTax platinum plus audit protection. I don’t want to install the Webex plugin to join the meeting. I don’t want to share my car’s braking data with the actuaries at State Farm. I don’t want to text with your AI chatbot. I don’t want to download the Instagram app to look at your picture. I don’t want to type in my email address to view the content on your company’s website. I don’t want text messages with promo codes. I don’t want to leave your company a five-star Google review in exchange for the chance to win a $20 Starbucks gift card. I don’t want to join your exclusive community in the metaverse. I don’t want AI to help me write my comments on LinkedIn. I don’t even want to be on LinkedIn in the first place.
I just want to pay for a product one time (and only one time), know that it’s going to work flawlessly, press 0 to speak to an operator if I need help, and otherwise be left alone and treated with some small measure of human dignity, if that’s not too much to ask anymore.
@stephenkeeler Well done to get the motivation again and restart. I’m in a similar position although restarting irregularly with slow 45 min 5k. You inspire me to get going!

I can’t promise these daily or weekly. But there’s a lot going on under Labour you just don’t hear about. Today’s announcement around flood defences is great news
Cameron is a stupid privileged man,May, a clueless woman, Johnson, a stupid man, Truss is just stupid,Sunak, a stupid man. Starmer is NOT a stupid man, his Cabinet are NOT stupid. He's doing his best to get the country out of the shit the Tories created.MSM Give Labour a chance.
Time will tell, but we could have the makings of the best UK Prime Minister we've had in years.
And time is what our Prime Minister needs right now.
An enormous task ahead of him for sure.
But all the signs are that he's sowing the seeds for a brighter future.
I wish him well.
