Running tires at lower pressure than usual, I forgot to check the air before a ride. Surprisingly, the handling and rolling resistance felt great, even with less air than expected. The bike felt good! #TirePressure#CyclingTips
Fueling up for a ride: Kirkland protein bar (190 calories) to start, followed by a Clif Bar (chocolate chip/peanut butter) on the way to a friend's house. Planning another Clif Bar mid-ride to keep energy levels up. #CyclingFuel#Nutrition
Over 500 miles in, and still no flats! These TPU tubes are holding air perfectly, even without constant topping up. If you're looking for reliability on the road, this might be it. #Cycling#BikeTech
Training for the Closer to Free ride is going well, but another hip operation is on the horizon after September. Despite the upcoming surgery, fundraising efforts are strong, with over $500 in gift cards already secured! #CloserToFree#Fundraising#Cycling
A cycling computer reminds me to eat a Clif Bar after an hour. For hydration, I use a 24oz bottle with Carb Gain, providing 60g carbs per half cup. I also add Nuun's Sport Hydration for electrolytes and taste, hitting the recommended 60-90g carbs per hour.
Over 500 miles in with no flats! These tires are holding air perfectly, even at lower pressures than usual. Great rolling resistance and handling make the ride smooth. #Cycling#BikeTech
Hit a wall after 24.3 miles with 1,150ft elevation on the first 90-degree day. Bonked hard due to heat and humidity. Learn what I ate, drank, and how I'll change my strategy to prevent this from happening again. #Cycling#HeatTraining
Pushing to reach fundraising goals! With over $500 in gift cards and more promised, the drive is on. While almost at $2,900, the $12,000-$15,000 target is still a stretch. Every bit helps! #Fundraising#CommunitySupport
Even a short ride can become a battle when breakfast is missed. It took every ounce of strength to get home after just 24 miles and 1,100 feet of elevation. Fueling properly is key, even for what seems like an easy day. #Cycling#FitnessTips
Every $10 donated enters you for a chance to win the sweepstakes! Donate $50 for 5 chances. Honor a loved one currently battling cancer or who has passed by giving me their name to carry on my 100-mile ride. Let's make this year a success! #Fundraising#CancerAwareness
Disappointed with a 12.7? Focus on where you want to go. Use ride data to correct deviations, even after a bad ride. Finishing slower and riding again is better than pushing too hard and needing days off. #CyclingTips#Performance
Feeling good now, but the future is uncertain. Time to bet it all and push everything into making this happen. Support the journey and check out TPU tubes – less fuss, more enjoyment! #TPUtubes#Commitment
Endurance cycling means planning ahead for fuel and performance. Prepare your carb-rich meals, monitor your intake during the ride, and log your sleep, energy levels, and ride details to optimize for heat and distance. #CyclingTips#Endurance
TPU tubes vs. sealant: My month-long experience shows they lose air at about the same rate. I usually only need to top up 5-6 pounds every 3-4 days. No significant difference found. #CyclingTips#BikeMaintenance
Riding with cancer is tough, and nutrition is key to fueling the journey. Focusing on 100% nutrition now to power through every ride. There's a lot more to come. Keep pedaling! #Cycling#Health#Motivation
Think changing a flat tire takes too long? Think again. With TPU tubes, you can swap one in about 5-7 minutes. Plus, running lower pressure offers a more comfortable ride than sealant. #Cycling#BikeTech
Hit a wall after 45 minutes. Eating a Clif Bar did nothing. Felt completely zapped and bonked, took everything I had just to make it home. #Endurance#FitnessStruggles
