Thinking about AI and plagiarism and coming to this convo with the perspective of English major turned machine learning engineer. I understand the average student won’t, but if the student builds and trains the model that generates the work, is that plagiarism?

are not assessed by similar minds, we don’t know. If ND folks have an exceptional argument but writing isn’t their strongest communication method, we don’t know.

I guess I’m lamenting the stuff we don’t learn because of the forms and methods that we privilege.

@JillianWeise This topic has spun me. I am third gen cyborg and both my mother and grandmother died bc of US capitalist negligence. Though their death certs, med records, and autopsies (had they been done) don’t say it. I wonder if it would have felt different if the doctors had admitted it.
