হিন্দু জাতিকে ক্লীবতা, পশ্চাদ্গামিতা, দারিদ্র্যবন্দনা শিখিয়েছিল যে মানুষটি।

নেতাজি সুভাষচন্দ্র একে শ্রদ্ধাবশত ‘জাতির জনক' বলেছিলেন। এটা নেহাতই উক্তি মাত্র, কোন উপাধি নয়। আর ১৯৩৯ সালে ত্রিপুরী ক��গ্রেসে সুভাষচন্দ্র সভাপতি নির্বাচিত হবার পরে এ কনুই মেরে তাড়িয়েছিল সুভাষচন্দ্রকে!

বেঁচে থাকলে বয়স হত ১৫৬। আর ভারতীয় জাতির বয়স কমপক্ষে তিন হাজার! ১৫৬ বছর বয়স্ক ব্যক্তি কি তিন হাজার বছর বয়স্ক জাতির পিতা হতে পারেন? পারেন না। তবে ওকে পাকিস্তানের পিতা বললে কারোর কোন আপত্তি হবে না।

তবু তো জন্মদিন !
