the Duke football situation is very telling about who has been and contributed on a football sideline and who hasn’t. Sports Medicine professionals, former coaching staff, and former legit players all know the player was out of line
🇺🇦 Zelenskyy delivers a blunt message to the United States:
“Just give us Starlink back. If you refuse, Ukraine will survive. We will continue defending ourselves with or without it.
But why would you restrict a country fighting for its survival? Why make it harder for us to defend our people?
I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind this decision. It is a mistake.”
Ukraine isn’t asking America to fight its war. It’s asking America not to stand in the way of its defense.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the most respected political leader in the world, and rightfully so.
Donald Trump is the most despised political leader in the world, and rightfully so.
El-Sayed: Mike Rogers doesn't want to talk about gas or groceries… so instead they send people like this guy who apparently was a former staffer for Josh Hawley from Missouri to town halls in the middle of the state of Michigan.
When you have no new ideas, and your only approach is to backstop a president who called you and asked you to run in the first place, you're going to try and find anything you can to distract from the issues
The fact that the game continued after a stadium of people watched someone fall to their death speaks to the callousness our society has reached
There is no sport important enough to continue after such tragedy. My thoughts are w/ the family who had to watch the cheers to follow
“Your son leaves as Jimmy and comes back home in three days as Janet, and they don’t even ask you.” — Donald Trump
How about we focus on “Your son Jimmy leaves for school and never comes home because he was killed in a school shooting.”
Because that’s what’s ACTUALLY fucking happening in American schools.
X has suspended the account of academic and researcher @MujammaHaraket whose writings and translation projects about Palestine are essential historical works that fall clearly within the public interest. This ban should be reversed immediately.
With her lonely stand for Palestine, Sally Rooney has exposed the contemporary literary world as a nest of cowards and careerists
Where are all the Doris Lessings, Harold Pinters, John Bergers, Graham Greenes, Samuel Becketts that once raised their voices against war and injustice?
Rooney stands almost alone
Here's the work number for the man who was punching a woman in the face at a Trump rally last night.
His name is Russell Dickert.
The place is called Harsco Metals.

On the Cornell 7 and Jane Doe: I don't know if anyone reads or follows LA Magazine? I don't.
But they have been intensely covering the situation, and failed to publicly disclosed what is a glaring conflict of interest, while promising a "bombshell" to come.
The attorney for Winston Lee, one of the Cornell 7 who is from a very prominent and wealthy South Korean family (his grandfather is a former prime minister), has hired Teny Geragos, a high profile attorney, to represent him.
The co-owner of LA Magazine is Mark Geragos, Teny's dad. Their relationship has not been publicly disclosed as a conflict of interest in their coverage. One of the LA Magazine reporters is promising a "bombshell" to discredit Jane Doe. Just making you all aware.
H/t to David Denney for bringing this to my attention.
Ty Cobb on Trump: “He could’ve been in a Klan outfit the way he was talking about Somalia and Africans and that they’ve tainted Minnesota somehow. The man drained every ounce of dignity from the office that he holds and he shows it every day”
