@Matt271436190@SocksyBeast look up the IFAB rules, I am correct. Funnily enough, so is VAR. They get a lot wrong but are very good when it comes to what is and is not offside. But you think you know more than them do you?
@ChurwellOwl ok, i accept that, but you were going round in circles, and I didn't like the amount of effort it would take to convince you that you were wrong
@ChurwellOwl and once again, I am telling you that under IFAB rules neither offside player is interfering with play. Again, are you really saying I have to explain in detail and screenshot the IFAB rules as to why this is? I'm not posting without knowing the answer in advance.
@yungowiee@Tomp_14 the only one making any contact with the goalie is the goal scorer. the video angle in line with the goal line proves this. the offside attacker actually slows down to avoid his teammate and in doing so prevents any possible interference with the goalie @wheelstl
@Niall_Not_Neil@Piazon_75 I do know actually because the goalie sees the ball looping up and is chasing after it, and that's it. The offside player changes nothing in his decision making nor does he in any way obstruct the keeper's efforts.
@cacl789108@stevebrookstein no he wasn't, interfering means he makes a difference to the decision making of the goalie, but the goalscorer was nearer the ball and the goalie's actions weren't influenced at all by the offside player as he was chasing after the ball
@Piazon_75@Niall_Not_Neil he made no difference to how the goalie reacted, that's the point, the scorer was always getting to the ball first and the goalie was chasing the ball, so wasn't influenced by the offside player
@MichaelLen5982 it was a clear foul, the defender knocks into the attacker's leg which then hits his other leg and trips him up. The ITV expert was completely correct (and yes I know she changed her assessment but that's when she got access to a new cam angle), I wish more ppl would listen to her
@DAracinghorse@itvfootball because initially she saw what the viewers saw. then she got a new angle which VAR saw. New information led to a new assessment.
@newformsnew@davesmith_21@ITV You really havenโt been paying attention because yes, it is exactly how football is refereed. The ref makes a call and if var sees a clear and obvious error such as a foul being outside the box, they inform the ref so he can change his mind. The only bias here is your own.
