I’m going to say something that is very hard for many of you to comprehend, let alone accept.

Mohammed bin Salman has steered a nation spanning more than 2 million km² through a region in flames, while keeping Saudi Arabia in a considerably stronger position than many of its neighbours.

And I would argue that much of this comes down to pure pragmatism.

He is not beholden to rigid ideological camps, nor that every disagreement must become a permanent confrontation.

He understands that diplomacy and restraint are not weaknesses, and that national interests must take precedence over ideological posturing.

Unfortunately, far too many leaders in our neighbourhood have failed miserably to grasp this.

We are surrounded by some profoundly reckless and incompetent actors.

Some have no reservations about murdering civilians. Some have helped plunge this region into war, only to lecture everyone else about peace and stability. And some fancy themselves exceptional political strategists, when their conduct is nothing more than arrogant, inept, and utterly incompetent.

Contrast that with Saudi Arabia.

Despite the Houthi terrorist attacks and the extraordinary circumstances surrounding us, Saudi society has not descended into ‘panic’, like many on this app would have you believe.

Mohammed bin Salman once said, “A Saudi does not fear.”

I can tell you, from my own family, friends, colleagues, and practically everyone I interact with, that this sentiment holds true.

We are angry, and we grieve for those we have lost.

Yet, we are not paralysed by fear, and we certainly will not allow a terrorist militia to dictate how we live.

This leads me to another point:

I believe Mohammed bin Salman favours diplomacy. Where diplomacy proves insufficient, there is pressure. And where pressure fails, military force always remains an option.

Knowing when to employ each, and to what extent, is what distinguishes statecraft from the recklessness we have witnessed elsewhere in this region.

You can criticise, and you can attack, but Saudi foreign policy is not impulsive. All decisions are carefully weighed, with their consequences considered.

The Crown Prince knows that in this region, it is exceptionally easy to wage war, but far harder to exercise this degree of restraint.

Yet restraint has its limits, and the safety and stability of this nation of nearly 40 million citizens and residents will always take precedence over all else.

أعزائي المتابعين .. تذكير لا اكثر :

نحن اليوم في حالة حرب مع ميليشيا لا تختبئ في الكهوف فقط بل استولت على مقدرات الدولة اليمنية ومدعومة من ايران وغيرها ..لذلك ما حدث وسيحدث طبيعي جداً في الحروب .

وكصحفي متابع للشأن اليمني ..الاخبار جداً رائعة وسارة لنا وللأشقاء في اليمن .. خصوصا سوف نرى تطوراتها الكبيرة بدءً من اليوم ، وسوف نفرح جميعاً بإذن الله بالقضاء على قرد صعدة عبدالملك الحوثي ومشروعه قريباً.

ولكن للتذكير ..الاخر لديه مشروع اعلامي قذر يسمي " قوات الباسيج الإعلامية " خلايا إلكترونية وحسابات من ايران و العراق و لبنان وللأسف بعض دول الجوار تحاول نشر مقاطع وفيديوهات قد تكون قديمة او بعضها مفبرك وحملات ممنهجة وبأسماء سعودية و مستغلين ثغرة في اكس لتغيير المواقع .. وفي المقابل منع الحوثي الناس من تصوير مقاطع او فيديوهات وهددهم بالسجن ولديهم حملة اسمها " مدري " لأي خبر او حدث صار في مناطق سيطرته .

لذلك الحذر واجب وأي حساب يهمز أو يلمز أو تراه في موقف ضبابي طنّشه أو ألعن ابو شكله ..الراي لكم ومنكم أتعلم وسلامتكم

They abduct children and force them into the ranks of child soldiers, deliberately target civilians and civilian infrastructure, steal humanitarian aid and food intended for the Yemeni people, plant landmines in residential areas, abduct journalists and humanitarian workers, terrorise entire communities, attack commercial vessels and threaten international shipping, destroy livelihoods, exploit the suffering of their own population, undermine every serious attempt at peace, repeatedly violate agreements, and treat international law with absolute contempt.

This depraved militia has bled Yemen dry and stolen its future.

Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport is a civilian airport, not a military installation. The Houthis are perfectly aware of that distinction.

There is a fundamental difference between confronting an adversary, and deliberately bringing terror to civilians. Yet this warmongering, illegitimate cabal, which holds an entire nation hostage, has made civilian infrastructure and international shipping central targets of its campaign of terror.

Innocent lives continue to be treated as expendable instruments of warfare.

If this deliberate campaign of terror provokes a far more severe response from Saudi Arabia, the apologists for these terrorists can spare us the manufactured outrage and inevitable cries of victimhood.

A gang that has made murdering civilians a central feature of its warfare has absolutely no credibility portraying itself as the innocent party when its own aggression provokes a response!

Saudi Arabia’s handling of the flight carrying Israeli passengers diverted to Tabuk reflects its consistent position that the safety of everyone on board comes first, in all circumstances.

Respect for international law and the duty to protect human life do not depend on nationality or political circumstances. Saudi Arabia fulfils these obligations without allowing political positions to stand in the way of humanitarian assistance, especially in Saudi skies 🇸🇦

في الدبلوماسية، الانسحاب أداة احتجاج معروفة: رفض منح المنصة شرعية المتحدث الندّ، ورفض تحويل الإبادة والاستيطان والحصار إلى «وجهة نظر» تُستمع ثم يُصفَّق لها في نهاية الكلمة !

البقاء يعني صورة واحدة تُباع لاحقًا: «العالم يستمع لإسرائيل». الخروج يكسر الصورة قبل أن تُلتقط .
