Hodgeman County is coming off an 8-3 season and will look to build on that momentum in 2025 under longtime head coach Matt Housman, who enters his 16th year leading the program. Housman has guided the Longhorns to a 111-44 record at Hodgeman County and 117 career wins overall since beginning his head coaching career in 2009 at Pawnee Heights. The Longhorns return five starters on each side of the ball and will lean on plenty of veteran leadership and emerging talent. Key returnees include wideout/defensive back Devin Shank, running back Garrett Nuss, defensive lineman Desmond Thomas, and standout junior TE/QB/LB Ian Reece. Special teams will once again be a strength with kicker/wide receiver Tyson Younger, who earned SIK all-state honors in 2024. Other contributors such as Kendall Burns, Talon Shank, and Brody Schroeder will provide depth across multiple positions. With proven playmakers on both sides of the ball, the Longhorns aim to remain a tough out in the always-competitive 8-Man ranks. #sportsinkansas
