Shameless.. if you got lucky and got your merch'd signed, be thankful. The kabastusan of this kalbong idiot, to the nth level. Hindi ko masabing passionate ka kase wala kang consideration sa athlete. Di nila responsibilidad na icater lahat ng gustong magpasign. Yamot

Other nationalities still don’t quite get why Filipinos give soooo much time, effort, and energy to make sure our SUPPORT is seen and felt wherever Alex Eala goes.

But here’s the thing.

Alex has never denied how “privileged” she is, or how much of an advantage she’s had compared to many other Filipino athletes trying to make it in their respective sports.

But do you know WHY FILIPINOS LOVE HER and why she’s being celebrated like a SUPERSTAR?

It’s not just because Filipinos naturally go all-in and all-out for our kababayan.

It’s also because we see how genuine Alex is when it comes to uplifting Philippine tennis and supporting fellow Filipino athletes.

She could simply go pro, focus entirely on her own career, make money for herself, compete on the world stage, and carry the Philippine flag along the way. And there would be absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But she chooses to do more.

Her love for the country, her willingness to give back, and her desire to help grow the sport beyond her own success are part of what makes her stand out to Filipinos.

We’re not only cheering for the athlete.

We’re cheering for someone who genuinely seems to want Philippine tennis to rise with her. 🇵🇭🎾

Alex Eala was the first one to acknowledge her huge disappointment on her loss in Singapore. Not a surprise there because more than anybody, Alex holds herself to the highest standards of excellence. No words needed anymore. Except… always right there with you, win or lose. Keep making us proud! Go learn. Go win! Go Lex! 🇵🇭

“Google Oleshky and share the information.”

After winning her first-round match at the WTA 500 in Singapore, Ukrainian tennis player Oleksandra Oliynykova addressed her fans to draw attention to the critical situation in Oleshky.

This is a Ukrainian city in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. Right now, it's facing a humanitarian catastrophe. Oleshky is cut off from the world, russian forces are blocking deliveries of food and medicine, roads are mined, and evacuation is impossible. Around 2,000 civilians are trapped there, starving and unable to receive help.

Thank you, Oleksandra, for using your voice on the international stage to speak for those persecuted by russia's occupation.

@BastienFachan Here is my take 2 weeks back before the big media houses had their stories.
I focus on why Alex is seeing this when Asia has had a Grand Slam Champion in Li Na & Top 20 players before. It goes beyond her Tennis, its who she is.

Do not feed the trolls, they only want engagement. Let’s give that attention to Alex instead— for her lovely personality, her achievements, and her tennis. 🎾🇵🇭
