Captured my first galaxy, NGC 5195 tonight, the small galaxy interacting with the Whirlpool Galaxy some 31 million light-years away.

This cosmic dance has been unfolding for millions of years and the light in this photo began its journey long before humanity existed.

The Halifax Harbour ferry is one of the best deals in the city if you’re visiting. My second job after college was at Imperial Oil in Alderney Landing, and our boardroom overlooked the ferry terminal. The view of the Halifax skyline from there was absolutely incredible.

Sad anniversary. Six years since the 2020 Nova Scotia attacks, Canada 's deadliest mass shooting.

For 13 hours, there were shootings and fires at 16 locations, leaving 22 people dead and several others injured before the RCMP shot and killed the shooter.
