“show don’t tell” is one of those points of good writing often taken as gospel in online circles, but in truth good writing is nothing more than the ability to tell in interesting and novel ways. all fiction is various degrees of telling.
Some of my least favorite kind of movie writing now is when it is so obvious that they are trying to make a line of dialogue become “a thing” and Spider-Man feels very guilty of this with the recurring “small potato” gag.

The homeless woman murdered in Central Park was a beloved artist and birdwatcher who made beautiful pieces dedicated to birds. She went by Lee Rogers, but also was known as Elise Bainbridge Hill. Her art was awesome. I hope her life story is shared and not just the grisly details
