In the “Ibinasurang Paraiso” documentary of I-Witness, Kara David brought to light the story behind the mountains of trash dumped in the middle of a forest in Subic, Zambales.
“Parang nagagalit po na hindi ko po maintindihan ang sarili ko po. Naawa din po ako sa lugar. Bakit ginanito po nila?” Erlinda Capistrano, one of the residents in the area, said in the documentary.
“Itong lugar na ito, bangin daw ito dati. Pero ngayon halos napatag na ‘yung lupa kasi tinambakan nila nang tinambakan nang tinambakan ng basura,” David narrated. (YouTube/I-Witness)
